We are a local group of Kilworth and Komoka residents who care about maintaining the community we moved here to enjoy with our families.
We recently became aware of a proposed new 540 home development off Glendon Drive that threatens to violate current residential zoning bylaws with extremely small lots and inadequate roadways to support increased traffic. Based on the documentation provided on this site and our attendance at multiple public meetings with the Mayor and Council, it’s our opinion the proposed zoning unfairly favours the developer who stands to gain a profit and places our standard of living, the value of our homes and the safety of our roadways at risk with increased traffic of both personal and commercial vehicles.
We are asking for your help in donating to pay for legal counsel to represent our cause and/or your name to be used to oppose the proposed zoning. To be clear, we are NOT against residential or commercial development, but rather oppose the obvious infractions in the proposed plan.
We need your help!
To prepare our case against traffic congestion, parking chaos, postage-stamp lots and snout houses, we need your financial support. Many of you have contributed to the Association in the past. Thank you! But now, I’m asking each of you to do so again.
Your donation of $250, $100, $50 per household – or whatever you can afford – will help us make our case to the OMB and build a better community. Your support is essential to our success.
